Denver, CO – Oct 27, 2015 – GutCheck, the leader in agile market research solutions, announced today that it has closed $12 million in Series D funding to accelerate growth and meet the high demand in the agile market research space. Piper Jaffray Merchant Banking led the investment, with participation from other existing investors. GutCheck has now raised a total of $25 million.
This additional funding will support a series of developmental initiatives throughout the company as it continues to grow at a triple-digit rate. Earlier this month, GutCheck announced the most recent addition to the team, Chief Research Officer Renee Smith, and prior to that, it added Chief Commercial Officer Michael Gear. These hires—combined with more investment in research, products, and engineering—will support the creation of new, innovative products that address customer needs. “The growth we’ve had is a result of our leadership in agile market research, and we are not standing still,” GutCheck CEO Matt Warta commented.
Based on a recent study conducted by GutCheck, 77 percent of clients plan to use agile market research more in the next 12 months; GutCheck doesn’t see that trend changing anytime soon. As such, customers are demanding new products and solutions in this field; agile research solutions are in high demand for emerging verticals like technology, financial services, and healthcare.
“Through our diligence process and talking to customers, we were able to validate the huge market opportunity that agile market research has and that GutCheck is a clear leader within that market,” said Stuart Harvey, Managing Director at Piper Jaffray.
As part of a series of developments to further GutCheck’s lead in agile market research, they will be announcing additional strategic initiatives in the near future.
